Introduction

I am an Electronic Engineer with a broad knowledge of electronics, especially in the field of Computing.

I worked for IBM as a System Engineer for 17 years and for several years as a Consultant for the Argentinean Government.

Since 2002, I have been working on technical translations from English to Spanish, not only in Electronics or Computing, but also in Software, Engineering, Mechanics, Fire Systems, and other technical subjects like new technologies of green power generation, and general environmental subjects.

I would like to offer my services as a translator as I have a vast knowledge of the above mentioned subject, permitting me to submit a far more accurate translation. I have completed many translations, manuals, brochures, software, web sites localization, etc.

Should you be interested in knowing more regarding my abilities, I will do a sample translation. You can know more about me at:

Why should you work with me?

In my professional life as an Engineer I had to use Installation Manuals, User Guides as well as generating those kinds of documents.

Often I found that when I read documents translated into Spanish they were almost impossible to understand. On accessing the original English information, it was clear that the translation was poor and inadequate.

1) They used machine translation or
2) The translator had no idea of the technical subject

Needless to say that this encouraged me to work only on technical translations from English to Spanish. As I know the subject very well, and I think in the way a technician does, I am able to do a clear comprehensive and easy to use translation.

Many people in charge of the installation of new equipment have to suffer reading wrongly translated technical manuals and specifications, trying to figure out what the author is trying to say. There is an enormous risk involved in the use of this type of information. It could result in wrong installations, wrong setup or even worse in the destruction of expensive equipment.

The reasons to trust in a technical person for a translation are accuracy, reliability, and more happy customers. You will feel so much more confident with the result of my work.
